I've been into nail polishes and nail art and I've constantly searched for products that would make it fun and easy. So when I found this OMG (Oh My Girl) Peel Off Base Coat, I immediately purchased one to try.
The thing that I don't like much about wearing nail polishes is removing it. specially the glitter ones. Too much acetone damages the nails and dries the cuticles. This is the very reason why I started swatching with nail wheels to test different collections.
Hopefully, with OMG Peel Off Base Coat clean up and swatching will be convenient and less damaging to the nails.
In the bottle, the product is a white but it turns transparent when it dries so it will not affect the natural color and opacity of the nail polish on top of it. It is watery so you have to apply it on several thin layers to avoid dripping.
Like I mentioned earlier, I'm doing swatches on nail wheels and I was kindda hoping that it'll be easier to clean up the nail wheels when I use the product but it caused the nail polish to crack. So tried it immediately on my nails to see if there will be any difference and yes, it does work just fine. It doesn't have that strong nail polish scent
What did I not like about it?
It's like glue in a way since it dissolves in water no matter how long you wait for it to dry. However, it will set once it's coated with nail polish.
And the final test...
Peeling it off is a breeze. You can use a nail stick or pusher if you want but my long nails does the job. Also, peeling it off will be easier if it's thicker.
Will I buy again? Definitely. And if you do as much swatching and would love to use glitter polish without the pain of removing it, I would recommend my readers to try it out.
