Kudos is a small restaurant which opened a few months ago in Olongapo City right in front of St. Joseph Church/College. The restaurant seemed really humble with an open store and a simple set up of six foldable wooden tables and small chairs. You may think it’s just a small canteen targeting student’s but there’s more to that in their menu.
Their main offerings are sizzling and fried dishes but among our orders, the baked potato and desserts aced it.
On the photo is the baked potato we reserved for take out but my friends and I were having so much fun talking we ended up eating it there. An order has a whole potato about the size of my fist with gravy and bits of meat.
For dessert, we first tasted their mango crepe. Most of the times, the one I get to purchase is really thin but this one has generous scoops of vanilla ice cream and cubed mangoes inside.
After that we ordered their waffle which is chewy in the middle and crunchy on the sides. This is definitely what I’m coming back for.
All these cost P60 per order which is quite affordable considering the amount of servings. You may think I’m exaggerating it but here’s a photo of my hand with the plate. It’s blurry but you can tell it isn’t so small. Another thing I liked about them compared to other home grown cafes in Olongapo is their fast service. The others I visited take almost an hour (longest) but Kudos only took about 15 to 20 minutes at most per order.
Still not convinced, try reading the comment board for what the customers have to say. So next time you want to dine but tired of eating fast food, make sure to visit Kudos and other local restaurants Olongapo has.
