I went to the hospital to pick up a few certificates the other day. Unfortunately, it wasn't easy to get a cab in that area so I had to walk a few blocks. On my way back, I found a new coffee place around the SBMA area, 4th block from the 1st gate car entrance. Sure there's Starbucks and Coffee Bean at Ayala Harbor Point but those places can get too crowded and most times, I just want to have coffee some place quiet.
The Portuguese owned coffee house started April of this year and they're open from 7:00am to 10:00pm.
Segafredo Zanetti is their coffee bean provider and base on what I read, it is now the "leading espresso producer in Italy".
It was lunch time when I came but the place was really empty and the only thing I can hear is the soft music being played. I personally like it that way considering that most coffee houses are normally full at this hour and losing that homey ambiance.
The place offers all day breakfast, pasta, sweet treats and a variety of drinks from coffee to cocktails. It's a little pricey though.
Their cakes, cookies and gelato are homemade. I've never had gelato before so I can't make any comparison but I can say I'm pretty satisfied with how it tasted. The same goes for almost all of my orders except the sausage... too salty...
So that's my heavenly treat after a long walk. I'll write again to you soon.
