It's end of September and my long overdue hair appointment has finally come. Aside from money matters, I was having difficulty deciding on what hairstyle I want this year. For three years, I had my hair rebonded. It was only last year when I decided to have it curled after cutting it short. This year, I'd like to keep my hair long but still undecided whether I want it straight or curled.
Having curly hair takes more time and products to manage and it costs four times more than having it rebonded and that's my main problem. Then again, if I have it rebonded, I would have to let my hair down all the time unless I want to deform it. It's quite hot in the Philippines and most times I want my hair up too. Besides, everyone in the office is having their hair rebonded since it's easier to maintain.
Finally, I decided to have my hair curled and found time to go to the salon too. It was because my mom wanted her hair dyed and trimmed and she wants to go with me. It's not like we talk a lot when we go there. Most times we just sleep since the process takes long.
My mom and I both started around 10:00am but she finished around 11:00am. Luckily, my friend's cafeteria is nearby so I already ordered our lunch. Then again, I told my mom she should just go and bring the food home since my father is waiting for us outside.
After around four hours of waiting, my hair is finally done. As expected it was far more expensive than having my hair rebonded for P1,000 - P1,500. My hair cost P4,950 and my mom's is P1,250. It took two bottles of chemical to curl my hair, three tubes of hair dye for me and my mom, hair spa and hair cut plus food of course.
My mom and I are satisfied with hoe it turned out so I can say it's worth it. This is also a once a year procedure anyway since my hair is naturally wavy, I don't have ro worry about my hair looking partially weird unlike if I had it straightened. ^_^ I can also feel the fringe will become a challenge to wear since I'm not as young anymore it might not suit me. Oh whatever... I wanted a different look so here it is.
As for thr next challenge, I'll be styling my hait differently everyday for the next 30 days as much as my abilities can manage.
I'll see you again on my next post.
