As we age, our eyelids may get droopy and uneven but I'd never consider having a double eyelid surgery to have it fixed especially when there are non - evasive procedures available. I know I'm not the only person having this kind of a problem and I'm not judging those who went and got one. It's just a personal preference.
Why not get a double eyelid surgery?
First, it will be expensive and second, I'm scared I may not be able to close my eyes in full or worse if the surgery didn't turnout well. Finding an eyelid tape is also easy in Asia, unlike in other countries, Here's picture to give you an idea how my eyelids look like after years of using an eyelid tape:

Having wavy, unmanageable virgin hair for more than twenty years was never an issue for me. Well, that's until people started telling me my hair ruins my potentail of looking like a lady. Since then, I've had it rebonded every six months. I got tired of it though.
Early last year, I cut my hair into a bob but find it difficult to maintain. It was mid 2016 when I decided to have it curled for the first time.
It's end of September and my long overdue hair appointment has finally come. Aside from money matters, I was having difficulty deciding on what hairstyle I want this year. For three years, I had my hair rebonded. It was only last year when I decided to have it curled after cutting it short. This year, I'd like to keep my hair long but still undecided whether I want it straight or curled.
Having curly hair takes more time and products to manage and it costs four times more than having it rebonded and that's my main problem. Then again, if I have it rebonded, I would have to let my hair down all the time unless I want to deform it. It's quite hot in the Philippines and most times I want my hair up too. Besides, everyone in the office is having their hair rebonded since it's easier to maintain.
Finally, I decided to have my hair curled and found time to go to the salon too. It was because my mom wanted her hair dyed and trimmed and she wants to go with me. It's not like we talk a lot when we go there. Most times we just sleep since the process takes long.
If you think smooth, flawlessly, air - brushed looking skin just happen by applying foundation, you are sorely mistaken. One thing I learned from my 30 Days of Makeup is that it takes time to layer on.
1. Skin care routine.
No matter what your skin type is, make sure to adhere to your Daily Skin Care Routine the night before and morning after. That way, oiliness is controlled and skin is kept moisturized.
2. Prime your face
A face primer can make or break your overall look so find one that's suitable for your skin type and makeup needs. It helps minimize the visibility of pores and wrinkles once you apply your foundation. Primers also allow your skin to breathe without disturbing the layers of makeup you have on,
If you're new to applying makeup properly, the first thing us millennials will probably do is check what beauty gurus do online. Then gain, just because they have thousands to millions of views and followers doesn't mean they're doing it right.
During my 30 Days of Makeup challenge, I picked up a few techniques from gurus that didn't work out for me in the long run and even regret trying. 1. Blending foundation with fingers.
At the beginning, I liked applying foundation with my fingers for two reasons: 1. It gives heavier coverage 2. I have no tools that needs cleaning.
The downside is, it doesn't blend your makeup as well as tools does (especially when you're in a rush) making your face looking blotchy and uneven.
I'm not getting any younger so skipping skin care is no longer an option. I do go to clinics for treatments but I don't follow a good skin care routine religiously. Having combination skin and a very oily T - zone, I would simply wash my face with Cetaphil followed by Eskinol Cleanser in the morning and I'm good to go. At night, I only add moisturizer in my morning routine.
A month ago, I decided to change that after observing dry patches in my face. I searched online and found Soko glam's 10 - Step Korean Skin Care Routine Set being sold for $199. Instead of buying that, I searched for product alternatives that would suit my skin and budget the most while following their directions as to which to apply first and what to look for in other products.
Here's the product combination I came up with:
I have searched online and it seems like it's more of a challenge for women not to wear makeup to work at all. In my case, however, I'm used to leaving the house without any and I get scolded by my peers for doing so saying that I'm no longer in college and that I need to look more presentable. I started doing my brows since then and putting a little bit of gloss but that was it.
This time, I tried wearing makeup for 30 days and here's what I learned: 1. It takes time. A lot of time.
Normally I would choose sleeping in but these days, I have to wake - up at least 30 minutes earlier than usual or I will be late for work.
Make has several layers and they all need time to settle in your skin before putting on another layer of product.
Like other women in their 20’s, I’m also attracted to pretty little things that compliment my wardrobe. Then again, after entering the academic profession, I’m expected to look a certain way and colorful tassel earrings are no longer welcome. Some of the pieces I own have also worn out, oxidized and lost its original color through the years. Keeping these because they cost us money is not enough to justify the clutter.
In this post, I’ve listed a few rules I followed on figuring what to keep and let go of. 1. The good ones.
Separate the ones in good condition whether it fits your style or not. You can give it away or sell it to get something back from your investment. However, don’t throw out the tattered pieces just yet.
I've been buying from Zalora for quite some time now but this is the first time I purchased from their in house brand.
Since the rainy season has started, I purchased an ankle length boots that I could walk with to work. It looks like leather but it's actually polyutherane, a type of plastic. Makes me feel a little less guilty walking it in puddle and mud.
The other item I got is a structured handbag made with the same material as that of the boots.
