The thing I love about Bobbie Nail Creme is its variety of unique finishes. Their latest, Supah - GEL Collection, promises to "give your mani a voluminous, gel-lific finish" and "long - lasting gleam of a salon gel manicure sans UV light".
What: Bobbie Nail Creme Supah - GEL Collection
Where to buy: Watsons (Exclusive)
Price: P79.75 each
The collection is composed of five polishes, Bare, Cafe, Pussy Red, Seduce and Vamp sold exclusively at Watsons.
Now, I've been a huge fan of Bobbie for as long as I started painting my nails in fact one third of my collection is from Bobbie.
The names of the polishes sounded familiar and I'm sure I had these before so I checked my stash and found one remaining, Seduce.
I looked online and the search results made it certain that these are old shades revamped to have that gel gloss.
So how was it?
Not very impressive. The opacity is just as I expected, two to three coats for full coverage, but when I compared the old one I have (Seduce) with the one from this collection, there really isn't much difference.
I also wrote a post in the past, Different Top Coats for a Unique Finish, and the thing is, if you have the same shade of regular creme polish, all you have to do is top it with Bobbie's Xtreme Gel Gloss (my favorite).
The gel gloss approach did reduce the manicure process by one step but I would've appreciated it more had they made it in new shades instead. Besides, cost wise, buying five regular of these and an Xtreme Gel Gloss Top Coat would cost P100 less than getting this collection.
